RLE Posted January 29, 2014 Share Just got email from event, here is all the info Event Dates MTB : 1st February 2014 Road: 2nd February 2014Race pack pick up and Late entries: · Cycle Lab, The Bridge Lynnwood Road,29 January 2014, From 09:00 12:00 Penalty fees of R20 will apply on late entries · Sportsmans Warehouse Fourways, 30 January 2014 from 09:00-16:00 - Penalty fees of R20 will apply on late entries · Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate, Kempton Park, 1 February 2014 from 06:30 11:00 - Penalty fee of R50 will apply on the day NO ENTRIES FOR ROAD RACE ON 2 FEBRUARYYou will receive your start times at Race pack pick up. Estimated times are: Mtb: 60KM first block Starts 08:00 and the rest of the groups and distances will follow with 5 minutes intervals Road Race: 112km for Elite riders will start 05:30 and The first 101km start is 06:00 groups and distances after that is 5min intervals Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes 1st priority of day..I take full responsibility for last year, was a rookie mistake, & unfortunately one idiot stuff race up @ a crucial point.USN @ Red barn had same thing a few months later.. Trevor Du Toit Posted January 30, 2014 Share Water/muddy sectionsStart/finish crossing river 10/30/60 (will open up area to drain & have conveyor belts down as well)Serengeti Dam - small crossing (out for 10/30/60 - return for 10/60)River "Reed" neighbors @6.5Km- 30/60-out, @49km -60 back - (water very low) - ground hard packed@ 10Km (30/60-out) MUD bath last year - so far all dry@ 11km - under road - Dunblane (30/60-out) & 30km(30-back) - not bad, will be putting boards down.@ 44km-60 & 22.5Km-30 - down railway up to WP2 - ok, got pallets if needed(60km (mud just after WP2) down power lines, - last was all filled in, all fine)Then60km back through "reeds" / over dam & river @ Start/Finish30Km back under road & river @ Start/Finish. So all looking good, will give finial update after I finish marking course 2mrw.
