Hey guys, trying to enter but all details are for the 2013 event and clicking on the event link encounters an error on the ROAG site.

I will let Stu know... Chances are he is linking to an event page on ROAG that does nor exist anymore... Don't think the event is available on ROAG to enter yet.. Will go check now

Edit: just checked.. Not up on the ROAG Site yet

Well, I just spent a fair chunk of the long weekend riding a large number of new trails that are being built for the 40km race.

Even if you know the area well there is a lot of new stuff, the guys in the 40 are going to have some fun.

There is a fair bit still being finished, so will go back this weekend and see if I can ride the whole route.

Hi Guys,

Just wanting some info on the course, this will be my first Karkloof and I am wanting to try the 40, previously I have only done 20km. I'm not worried about the distance, but technically, will a relative novice cope??? I don't want to be a noob and hold up the whole race!!!

Difficult one to answer as its all relative...

I reckon that any reasonably fit rider will complete the 40k and have a blast. Yeah there are some tech sections but there are also chicken runs...so if you dont feel you up to it, just go around. I an guessing you not looking for podium so get out there, enjoy the awesome route and just have fun!

My 11yo daughter rides the regular 30km route with me and she copes easily..the nature of the 40k wont be much different from a skills/tech point of view.
