Raydek Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 After seeing a gopro mounted to a drone at a music festival taking shots, I thought it would be rather cool if you could launch one and it follows you riding. Seems someone thought of it already and will be available later this year. Either app controlled, follows a predetermined course plotted on google maps or tracks your smart phone at a set distance. It wasn't the whole ride but they had several drones rotating and switching batteries and had some amazing shots. GPS mapping and routing is available as well, they have bigger drones that carries cameras that can adapt to zooming lenses. I think some footage is on the website.
ibruegge Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 we have a GPS based drone for filming of lodges and hotels. Sank one into the Zambezi, but the replacement is working well. haven't done any exciting filming like bike riding yet though...
