fact is i have had a gun many years been on self defense classes, and all that, but until you experience (and i pray you don't), some a hole almost take your kid out then get arrogant and challenge you while picking your child up off the road, and then he carries on with you and you walk to him and he continues and then drives away, and that red mist is there then we will talk again, mess with me its cool hurt me its cool, hurt my wife kids you mess with the devil and will get hurt point. I am the first to promote gun safety and im a level headed freak, but don't mess with my family or hurt them cause them humanity leaves the soul and frankly the bastard comes out.

 

Yup - you said it. It is the times when the red mist descends when, unless your life or someone else's is directly still at risk, that even to talk about drawing a firearm is nuts. If your life is at risk, I will happily watch you shoot whoever you need to, but drawing a firearm in any other circumstance only brings more negative perception to firearm ownership.

 

As regards your other comment, please don't try and patronize me or assume that I don't know about anger and firearms. I have no interest or intention of getting into a firearm related pissing contest with you about who knows the most.

Seriously, go and read the definition of under your control in The FCA if this is that important to you, but under your control means that it is on your person and not easily accessible to anyone else.
