Use the gear that you felt comfortable in during your longer training rides. Buy the best bib that you can afford and train in it as well. There will be a number of water points, so a bottle or two should be more than enough to last you between water points.

Should one use a camlebak?Like Mr Legs said buy the best you can afford and what sits comfortably on you. If you're used to riding with a camelback then use it but there are plenty well stocked water points so you don't need to unless if you're planning on taking it suuuuper slow but then you probably wont make the cutoff If you are used to a certain mix of energy drink then make some glad bags with powder in so you ccan easily mix them in your bottles at the points. Apart from that, hydrate and feed your body. It's a long ride and will take it out of your body so you need to replenish. Train well and enjoy enjoy enjoy!!

Well that's what I've been told on Wednesday before the race, after I haven't been on my bike for 2 months. I ended up being so far last that even the finish line was already taken down. I ended up doing 107km on the race because one of the traffic cops redirected me through town and I turned back when I came to the turnoff for the heads, only to find my wife and kids waiting on a deserted sports field with my medal for finishing.
