Flashfozzy Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) After my mistake and crash 2 weeks ago the Doctor has advise that when I eventually get back on the bike I should consider some form of Spine protector in case I fall again on the same problem vertebrae. Having looked round I am battling to find any locally stocked items and so far have only found the Knox Venture Top.This has built in Back and chest pads in a breathable vest. Are there other options?Has anyone tried this item? Good /Bad any other suggestions other than not falling off again! Edited February 27, 2014 by flashfozzy
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Not a lot of local stuff, TBH. Try some of the moto stores for their stock - they normally carry a LOT of options that the cycling shops ordinarily wouldn't. Unfortunately if you can't find anything there, it's off to CRC which has an amaaaaazing selection. You'll get taxed to death on it when importing, just remember to add an extra 60% to include VAT & import duities...
HenryS Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 This could work: http://trac-mac.com/store/156-back-protectors

Someone should take bloody SARS on for taxing us so heavily on protective gear, it is just immoral! (Tomorrow being "tax day", I'm in a really grumpy mood)
