Elevation Extreme's frame has been designed with the full use of Miyata's home made tube technology. NIOBIUM and advanced structural mechanics made SSTB (Spiral Spline Triple Butted) possible which offers high stiffness and ultra-lightness at the same time. This newly developed SSTB NIOBIUM tube is given a rib spiral reinforced inside, lightweight, compared with a typical chromoly tubes stiffness per weight ratio has improved in over 30%. Maintains tenacity without losing rigidness. The unique whip that occurs when pedaling keeps the loss in minimum level, offers a spring effect which leads to efficient action. Also features excellent shock absorption which reduce rider's fatigue and offers excellent control stability. All of these factors will be an overwhelming advantage at hill climb stage. Frames are fillet brazed and complete weights start at 6.5kg.Pretty impressive for a steel frame.
