I think that you think I am somewhere else! Haha! Shimano stuff is much more interchangeable between 9 and 10 than Sram. Lets take the chain and chainrings for example. Difference between the chains a width and difference between the chainrings are also width. If you pur a narrower chain (10) on wider (9) chainrings, it will still work. If you put wider chain (9) on narrower chainrings (10) that wont work so lekka. I have tried, tested and played with the stuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. "You can only use 10spd with 10spd" Hi Tankman, So I have a 9 speed XTR long cage with a RF Narrow Wide set up.Will I be able to put a 10 speed shifter, cassette and chain on and tune it to work? Dura Ace is 1.9 to 1 Pull ratio is controlled by the shifter, not the deraileur. EDIT: I'll wait for your explanation, I'm usually first to question the "wisdom" of sales people.I have a couple of bits and pieces lying around that I would LOVE to get working together.
