Here is a great idea. Next time anyone comes across this, take a pic and post it on the site, but with good pics with fingers, and aggression and all. Then invite the team managers, club secretaries, presidents and sponsors to have a good look along with all the other people on the site.

Pic of the month gets sent to the local newspaper. I am sure this kind of behaviour will stop pretty quickly unless guys ride in neutral kit.

Huh............whats up here.!! Nobody seems to be taking what is effectively a criminal act (damage to private property) too seriously.

Satan / Grey Owl, open a case at the police, (you will probably need it for any insurance claim anyway) then ask the club concerned to identify the youngsters, now take their names and address and hand it to the police - say you will drop the case if they pay for the repair, otherwise...............that big "sersant" is gonna come pay them a visit at home. !!

But they were in the way and we did 'hoot' for them to move over.
Behaviour of that sort cannot be excused.

It's ok GO we forgive you & hooting's really not such a big deal - you were obviously under stress and maybe jealous of these young riders with their many years of youthful frolicking ahead of them.

I dont begrudge anyone cycling, and I have cycled alongside another rider before. So I am just as guilty.

But who do I lay a charge against? The Club?

No way am I gonna do that. It was not the clubs fault.

At the end of the day I cannot prove that any one of those riders actually did what they did. Its my word (& Satans!) against theirs.

So in the end the repair will come out of my pocket, or insurance.

I did not expect them to do what they did, and we subsequently did not have a camera ready to capture the moment.

Its better just left. Nothing will ever come of it.

(But we're getting our VooDoo dolls out tonight!!)

Chucky, this comment I've marked in bold means 'riding two abreast'.

I dont begrudge anyone cycling' date='- nor do I and I have cycled alongside another rider before. So I am just as guilty.
But who do I lay a charge against? The Club? - No, you simply lay a case of malicious damage against your property, once you have the names from the club, you hand those names over to the police against that case number.
No way am I gonna do that. It was not the clubs fault - Of course it wasnt, but I am sure the club would want to know if hooligans were dragging the name of their club and sponsor through the dirt by been part of disgracefull actions like this.
At the end of the day I cannot prove that any one of those riders actually did what they did. Its my word (& Satans!) against theirs - No its not, there are two of you, if you were alone, yes it would be an issue. So in the end the repair will come out of my pocket, or insurance. - Hense the ever spiraling increase in insurance premiums.
I did not expect them to do what they did, and we subsequently did not have a camera ready to capture the moment.
Its better just left. Nothing will ever come of it. - I dont agree, we want to stop lawlessness in SA society, but nobody is prepared to make a stand. So "WE" do nothing and "THEY" just continue kicking doors and behaving like hooligans, is that what we want??

.........But, in the end its your decision, I just dont understand, we all bitch and complain about crime, and how it effects us (irrespective of how trivial it is) then when we have an opportunity to do something constructive, we just roll over and play defeatist.

Sometime, somewhere, somehow we need to become more concerned citizens and make a stand if we ever want things to improve...............................we have no right to complain about crime in this country if we dont do what WE can to reduce it.

Try that stunt in New York or Paris or Munich and guaranteed the driver will lay a charge, - DO it here and we say " AAAAAH its not worth it" -and yet, in general, we aspire to that kind of law abiding society.!

Weird.!

Hi,

Andrew is away at the Sani 2 C so does not have his email with him. I have told him about the postings and I will look into this with Mike and the Academy Manager, Ian Wilson, first thing tomorrow morning. This is not something that will be taken lightly.
Will revert asap tomorrow.

Ali Mclean: quick response and positive outlook Clap

GO: I know there are times that fighting just doesn't seem worth the energy wasted, but they must realize, had you been someone else or a taxi... well, let's just say that people have killed for less !!

History has shown us that humans are creatures of habit. I wonder if they would be at the same place at the same time next week !!!

I realise the importance of doing something about it this. And I have been through the appropriate channels.

Its been reported at the Police station, and my insurance is already arranging the relevant.

I am not in any way turning a blind eye to this behaviour. The only problem is that we have no idea as to who they were. And I cannot just go and confront the very first cyclist I find on the road, and blame it on him. Believe me, its terribly frustrating and I will not have a good nights sleep because of this.

Please understand, it is not the club, or any of the sponsors fault in any way. And I have no intention of ever saying that it was. Please understand this.

I do not know what more to say.

I don't think you need to say much more. The people that know you, know that you did not slam the sponsors purposefully, nor bullsh*tted about the event. You did what you thought was right, and that should be enough.Thumbs%20Up

oh, one more thing, about the kit they were in... Someone would have asked what colors they were riding in anyway.
