travisza Posted March 17, 2014 Share I currently have a Specialized XC Comp (2009). It has basic components:- RockShox Tora fork- Avid Juicy 3 brakes- Deore shifters- SLX RD I like the frame but the bike is damn heavy (16kgs) and the brakes and fork could be much better. I'm thinking of updgrading the components (SLX brakes to start, new fork next) and slowly building a better bike. Option 2 is sell the bike and buy a new one. Whats your advice? I'm leaning towards component upgrade.
Super Sywurm Posted March 17, 2014 Share I think selling the bike and getting a new one will be cheaper.
V12man Posted March 17, 2014 Share Upgrade your legs first.... Then the bike will be worn out after that and will need replacing, not upgrading. Spidermonkey

IDT purchased in December along with a subscription to TrainerRoad has me working on the real issue. Making the MTB lighter and shinier is a side project
