I think nobody will be able hold on to that wheel. Kulhavy is beastly strong, never thought I would see someone push Sauser up a hill like today.

Still in 3d spot .Big difference between today,s 50min ride and a 5h slog .The competition looks very tight this year .I cannot see one team dominating for the whole event

Still in 3rd spot but if it was a 1 man race Kulhavy would have taken the prologue, and then dominate the rest of the race. I would really have liked to see the Epic in a format more like the TDF where the strongest man overall wins and not be penalized by the finishing time of a team mate.

Yes, you can't compare a long distance specialist's performance with XCO specialist over a 20km race.  Sauser usually only starts pushing the pace on the 2nd or 3rd day.

 

Kulhavy is both, he is supposed to be a XCO specialist but has already proven he can lay down the power for a week`s long distance racing too.
