reading the article, that lock looks like something serious! But gotta love this bit "And they encouraged people to ride cheaper bikes. After all, the resale value of a bike—and its expensive components—is what makes the thing worth stealing" - maybe in America, in SA often the bike thieves have no clue of the worth of what they are stealing. A friend had a bike stolen from remote garage in a complex in the Southern Suburbs but they left the expensive one. I had my first (cheap) MTB stolen from my garage, now I choose not to have a house mate and I have a bike room instead for peace of mind. And did I mention the double burglar bars on the room, including Trellidor on the inside? And insurance all the way.
