As noted by Jason, the 404's I bought from ZippIt are a pleasure, although in strong sidewinds you do feel them. The real benefit of Zipp wheels are the hubs and bearings. The difference between my 404's and my Ksyriums in terms of rolling resistance is huge.

Oh, yes, and of course they look cool.

Jason dude, you and epoh really need to get a set each - you can't ride a Cervelo without Zipp wheels. Its like mixing a Gucci Jacket with a Safari Pant(s) smiley36.gif

Not to mention that Zipp 404's also comes in a Clydesdale version for those 'larger than life' riders like me...about 100gr heavier and a rider weight limit of 300pounds... Alas, I don't see the point in paying 12k for a set of wheels smiley36.gif

I saw over the weekend the new Equinox wheels, full carbon tubbies, same rim as the HED stinger ( about 303 profile), and they sell for about 7500-7800. Looks very nice.

Anybody using them, any comment ?

weight is about 1.4kg

Where do you live? I can then organize it quickly... Make a turn at about 02:00AM in the morning with a balaclava, just don't shoot. It's me! Nah I'm looking but 12k is lots of years saving smiley5.gif
