Thx for asking Wayne. Right now I am in total awe of all these guys and gals. It was a very flat race and very short (40k). Although I am reasonably fit (raced in the front of AL the previous day) I could never get really comfortable. My best spots were the very loose sandy patches where it worked very well to power through (I will remember this for my next geared race).

How you people do this for days on end is beyond me. I am so going to do it more!!

I started with a standard 36x18 on a 29er. Will have to try other combo's.

I did the Trail

Rode the trail on a 32/20 all three days. Not too bad, just ran out of gas on the flats - but that was a trade off; worth doing.
