Is this a limited entry event Nigel? Or are there still lots of spaces open?

I think Nige is away on holiday, I recall reading that entries are limited to 200.

Went for a quick sneaky run down stage one yesterday....

My tires ran out of grip, and I ran out of talent....

Awesome course though well done guys, Putting better tires on tonight...

I would say that you came off lightly considering you were riding down a one way trail the wrong way.

Please don't do this, it is dangerous and irresponsible.

Hey dude, will this stage be open for a practice run or two on the Friday or only on race day?

Which part of the trail would I have been going the wrong way on? Not being arrogant or anything just so I know for future, from what I saw all the parts I rode I was heading in the right direction.

I think you are referring to last years stage one which went the wrong direction down the switchbacks on the blue route when I am referring to the route in Nigel's first video he put onto this forum, which goes down fern hill... although I do agree that even doing that is "dangerous and irresponsible"

Your are absolutely correct. You were going in the correct direction on that stage (the one in the video, starting at the pylon and going down fern hill. Sorry, I thought you were on the stage one from last year. (reverse down the climbing switchbacks) This will be Stage one for this year as well.

I apologize.

Stage one, and stage three run existing trail in reverse for a portion. These will not be open for practice and can only be ridden in that direction on race day.

This is mainly from a safety point of view, but also because riding trails without practicing is a skill on it's own and will make for exciting racing.

Would like to know that the other stages are as well...

We are not going to publish all the info about all the stages. This will keep it fresh and make for exciting racing.

Just to confirm the order of the stages for interest sake,

Stage 1 - Blue trail in reverse.

Stage 2 - Great fall my china?

Stage 3 - ?

Stage 4 - Pallet drop to sevice road.

Stage 5 - Free ride/Fish & chips.

That is more or less correct.

Stage 3 will remain a mystery trail, to be relieved on the day. Should keep things interesting.

The order of the trails will not be fixed. With the exception of Stage 5, which has to be done last. So you can ride Stages 1 to 4 in any order, and then finish with Stage 5.

Stage 6 will be Burgers and draft. This is not a timed stage, although maybe we should make it one???

We should make it that stage 6 is timed after each of stages 1 -5... :whistling:
