My CB Mallet E's arrive tomorrow for my OneTen trail bike. Apparently the E's address a lot of problems from CB's past. Will have to wait n see. Always loved the XT trail pedals, but they can be a mission when its muddy, which is something the CB's excell at. The new E's are getting good reviews and i needed new pedals, thus trying out the E's. Word of warning, they dont come cheap. Via CRC and sent DHL, they around R3k all in. vs XT Trails which are freely available locally at less than half that.

Adidas has to be one of the worst brands out there when it comes to customer service, and customer interaction in general. Even thought they advertised the "new" Evil Eye Evos in nearly all MTB magazines, it was a pain in the arse to find a pair in KZN. In fact the Adidas concept store didnt have a clue what i was talking about until i actually pointed out the glasses in their cabinet. Even more frustrating, has proved to get replacement lenses for them. Almost impossible to get info on who to actually deal with at Adidas, and the one person who i did get mail contact with, has just gone totally unresponsive. Although i love the glasses, the lenses have proved to be a real let down. Scratch really badly. Still don't know how to adjust any of the temples, nose pieces etc. Videos on the website are not playable, and the store didnt know how to adjust them, so they stay are they are..... All in all Idea 10/10 Marketing 10/10 Product 5/10 Sales and Service 0/10 Considering the brand and the fact that they don't exactly give the glasses away, its been a bitter pill to swallow.

Dude, buy a Pyga OneTen frame, throw a 140mm Pike and a dropper post on it, and be done with it! Never forget after sales service. Everyone loves throwing exotic bikes into the mix, but wait until something goes wrong. The silence will be deafening.

RoboJedi....Have a look at the Lapierre bud. Great trail bikes, and keenly priced! A decently specked Pyga is going to cost you min 55k anyway, so that Spitfire isn't overpericed per say. Trance is a cool bike. Few upgrades turn it into a great trail bike, but upgrades cost mega bucks. The mandatory Pike these days is gonna cost you 12k on its own :-)

Very brave bud. I've been down that route calculation wise, but no feasible after sales service is going to make your 36k seem rather expensive if something happens to her. Doesn't happen often, but sadly, bikes break. Lets hope yours doesn't!
