No i don't but my previous job is right next door to the factory that i work in now. I deal with the engineering shop frequently as i have to over see the maintenance in my factory. So you tell me what you want and i'll make it happen.. :D

Cool, have a couple things I want to do.

When I get everything together, I'll give you a shout.

And so a couple of weeks has passed and i have received a lot of calls and support.

Servicing bikes has gone well. No issues or problems.

I've managed to start sorting the man cave to make it more presentable when i get people over to see what i am up too and hopefully have something cold in the fridge or hot on the cupboard in the near future.

While reading the post on what you want from you bike shop. I've collected a couple of pointers. Those are the things a business should be built on.

Mountain bikers are fairly relaxed people and if you treat them with respect and communicate well without being "skelm" you can make a huge success with a bike shop. Calling a spade a spade is key..

Services are still R250 per bike. Please give me a call 082 301 2907

Thanks for all the advice and support guys.

Really do appreciate

Yep, some of the shops and companies I support have made monumental cock ups dealing with me. It's all about how you treat the customer. The ones that have gone above and beyond I go out of my way to support. The ones that treat me well I support. The ones that don't care or try and screw you I make sure to let everyone know that I can to be wary.

Forgot. All the best sir!

A very good morning guys

Its Friday and the weather is looking good for a couple of days.

A bit of feedback on the weeks passed.

Flowta (Dave) and myself has been busy with a couple of small project. Mostly manufacturing parts. Its looking good. Thanks for the support Dave..

Further more on the service side its been picking up slowly. The customers who have given me a chance seem to keep coming back for more work to be done and I've received good feedback from all of them.

Keeping the job cards and service reports has helped a lot. Sometimes week by week or monthly repairs has been done and the bikes are slowly getting back to proper mechanical and cosmetic condition they should be.

KWV (Carl) has been in contact almost daily on help and ideas as well as making decisions for the way forward on his bike. Going the 1x10 route. Just trying to figure out the ratios for his riding style vs prices on parts.

I've managed to find a larger garage so i am moving all my gear in there too. Making the place look nice and clean. Painting floors and hanging bigger lights keeps a man busy.

Please guys. if you have any issues or problems with you bikes. MY work is good and my price fair. Give me a call 082 301 2907 or send a mail bccycles.info@gmail.com

Thanks for the feedback

Have a nice weekend

Looking to fit a 42T to my 1x10 setup. I have a 11/36 SLX cassette. Do you have the skills to fit this sprocket? Apparently the SLX cassette requires the screws to be filed down and reinstalled. LEt me know, as I'm based Dville and will gladly give you the business.

Also ETA on the job?

Hi Aaron

Being a fitter and turner by trade this should not be a problem. Read up about it, just not had the opportunity to do it. Its fairly straight forward though. If you drop it Monday ill have it ready by Tuesday, Wednesday. Or even today would also be fine. Whatever would work for you. Thanks

Thank you BC bicycles on the excellent service. My bike was in a bad state and after Bertus took a whole day get my bike in a excellent condition. Thought I had a new bike when I saw the bike again for the first time.

A week after my bike been to BC bicycles I rode in Hermanus on the Hemel and Aarde track. When I came down one of the downhills my dropout hanger broke of. I phoned Bertus and told him about this unfortunate incident. He organized a dropout hanger for me and fitted it the next day. I was back on the gravel road in no time.

Guys you can support BC bicycles. I will use Bertus as my bike mechanic for any repairs and upgrades on my bike in the future.

Good luck BC Bicycles. For your passion for the sport we love you will make a success.

Hi, I have a Sola1. 26/38 crank and 11/36 cassette. Would like to go 1x10 with a 42 on the rear. Is this possible and what would it cost.

Regards.
