Me's there! Was my most fun event in the entire 2014, so I entered as soon as I could for this year. Not missing the smiles and good vibes of this one... Hopefully the Mitchells guys are there again!   :w00t:

Ummm I can't find my entry

Anyone want to let me know who sent the email to confirm and the amount that it was? Will search history...

edit: Found the transaction not a confirmation email. Ok at least I know I did enter and probably the receipt went to spam/trash.

I even tried re-sending it (by sheer coincidence) earlier this afternoon from entry website, no luck. Thought it was our mail servers blocking it, but it seems not... But could see I'm entered, so...  here's to a lekker jol tomorrow!

Well it was a great day and really fun race. These small races are always a better vibe, and it was nice to chat to a few people on the run and ride.

I really like how seeding is a forgotten issue - the trail run takes care of that, so when you get to your bike, you're starting with people (or their race partners) who were as fast as you.

Running down cool runnings was the highlight. Amazingly fast descent, even when you're running!

I just feel it was a bit shorter than I anticipated so I really didn't push the run or ride when I could have.. I heard it ended up only being 8km and 18km? I still enjoyed it, but when you expect close to a 2.5-3 hour race and you're done in under 2 you wish you hadn't paced as much.

Ja, was a bit shorter. Cut out a nice loop on the MTB (we went right last year coming out of the shortcutted Chainrings section and did a nice loop in opposite flow of the normal trails, which was great in itself!) and a bit on trail as well. But I do presume that was due to some damage they had - both fire and wind caused some damage and I can only presume that was why they rerouted esp the MTB section.

Still, an awesome event with a great vibe - pity everybody left so early! And you're right, Cool RUNnings was great...

Yeah pitty bt the routes being short. Thought to myself, ok with 5km to go point I will open the throttle and then the next second... im finishing. Besides that, registration was a breeze, stunning location and very well sign posted
