Just wanted to mention that I'm loving the Guide RS brakes and glad I went with them over the XTs.

Most natural feeling brakes - awesome modulation and then huge stopping power when you need it. Fade seems minimal too, so my fingers are rejoicing for the freedom from cramps. Got a 180mm HS-1 up front and a 160mm Centreline at the back. More than power enough for my needs. This was a massive upgrade for me, going from entry level Tektros (yeah, seriously). I have tried out other brakes though - but these are the best in terms of feel for me.

Overall, feeling much more confident picking up speed through the single track, knowing I can control my speed into the next corner much better.

5 bloody stars.
