At that price...yes its is....not prepared to roll the dice at that price for something premium when I could get a friday afternoon made bib....Would rather just buy three cheaper ones. See I didnt make this call based on the reviews of the product but the backup service. Everyone makes a mistake now and again, maybe she got the pair that fell through the QC cracks...my decision is based on after sale backup.

I would expect a pair of bibs at that price to

A.Last as long if not longer than cheaper models

B.Have better backup service...6 months is unacceptable for bibs to fall apart.

The OP was within her rights to be unhappy...and I thank her for the information.

I think I respectfully disagree. The dude offered a new pair at half price after SIX MONTHS of use. That's not bad IMO. You should not base a whole opinion on a brand based on one event. 1 in 20 is not really rolling the dice, nor is it accurate. People are much more likely to moan about bad products than they are to commend good ones. So it probably more like 100 to 1..... But, you have your freedom of choice. If this was my brand, I would be pretty pleased with this thread, as usually if someone comes to the Hub to moan people jump on the band wagon and flame the hell out of the brand, but in this case it was pretty well defended. So maybe they lost you as a customer, but I'm sure they probably gained about 5 more....

Just out of interest sake. Why would a more expensive bib require more tlc than a cheaper one...if this is indeed the case

bud i swear by them, your idea of washing and the next oke is not always the same thats why they put DIRECTIONs because some people are totally clueless, the extra tlc is most likelty directly proportional to the price and they give a shiiit that you get the best possible usage, out of your bibs, you welcome to pull in to my spot and check bibs that have more mileage on than my current car

ahhh in your opinion....six months isn't good enough ito bib lifespan...no matter the brand I am sorry. The thing here is that the OP has a control(the cape storm bibs purchased on the same invoice). She also states that she alternates between them giving them a good sample of the same usage / washing elements. Fact is that the cape storm bibs are holding up and the giordana is moeg. Now this can be due to either of two things.

A. She didn't follow the washing procedures(see my unicorn spit comment earlier) and this resulted in the bibs failing...Based on this we can then say that the cheaper cape storm bibs are thus more hardy when it comes to washing since it doesnt require special attention or instructions....This doesnt appeal to me and is admin and I won't buy the bibs based on this.

B.She got a bad pair from the manufacturing line is thus falling apart. The manufacturer doesnt want to acknowledge this and backup his product so the same result....I wont buy the bibs based on this

The only winner in this thread is cape storm, seems their product doesnt require special care, lasts for a third of the price....triple tri-fecta deal clencher for me

SERIAAAAS,

I machine was my bibs....(Ftech, decca and craft). No special bags or admin. They are holding up fine. I am sure they are comfortable dips, but like they say in dutchie

Is die sous die kool werd....ie is the added admin(separate washing of garments) worth it.

I hear your reasoning and makes sense from a different to my point of view, so I am not saying you are wrong. I just think this was an isolated case and should not be the factor you base an entire brand opinion on. But if you want to, so be it, hopefully it will drive the guys to be even better going forward. Just keep in mind XT will out last XTR..... durability is just one factor :)
