Scott Spark 940 BB Problem

I had serious creaking coming from the frame...after all the above checks even replacing the bb it looks like it was just the adjustable BB height mechanism...(those oval inserts) ...i took it apart and cleaned all the grease off  the ovals and frame ...reassembled and my creak has vanished..remember to put it back the same setting high or low...unless you want to change settings.

I suspect that these ovals will require regular cleaning and it won't just be a one time cure.

Hi, I need help asap. My Scott Spark 940 is making a cracking, squeaking, breaking noise coming from the crank/BB unit when riding in dusty conditions and the harder I pedal, the worse the noise. Its making me and the people I ride with mad. Do anyone have any suggestions or has anyone had the same problem? I had it serviced at various shops and nobody has been able to find the problem. Thanks

Remove rear axel, grease shaft with copperslip, reinstall.

Let us know.... chasing noises is hard.... but rear axels often make noises that sound like it's coming from the BB - especially thru-axels....
