Hi Guys

I will be more than happy to design and host a central database for registering stolen bikes for free.

Will just need some help with getting the specification up to give to my development team.

Please let me know if you would like to contribute some ideas

Cheers

Is my attached image of the location correct, mister OP?

Dayum right! I may have bought my SWorks second hand, but after restoring it, it's worth more than my car (albeit a jetta [that gets better mileage than a fair amount of new cars])

I think it was around here:

Wonder why it isn't being used widely. I see only two pages of listed bikes. I do a lot of work for the insurance industry, I wonder if they will be willing to contribute the information that they have ...

It would be nice to clarify where exactly this happened as Rustenburg Road is quite long and I'd like to avoid this hotspot as I regularly cycle in the area.

Hi

It was near the Milpart Training centre on Rustenburg road that joins Naiper Road.

ADT will be patroling this area in future at the time that the cyclying groups come through

Yeah with the number of bike jacking and stolen bike incidents lately you would think more cyclist would register.

rsa I am a BA at a logistics firm. Although I sometimes struggle to understand what a BA is supposed to do...lol I do have ideas on this if you would like to continue despite there already being such a page I'll be willing to help where I can. There is more to the idea than just a stolen bike registry and it even has commercial value to it. I am sure that with little effort I can get much more bicycles registered ... Ok lets chat if you want to, I stay in PTA

I had my previous bike on there, deregistered it when I sold it, but haven't put my new bike on there yet ..

maybe with some help they shoudl advertise at all bike shops in sa? Buy a bike, get a flyer that shows how to register. Bike shops can even offer it as part of their service? Then they can also list bikes they buy and sell second hand ... would be great to get industry buy-in in this.
