Proccy Posted August 14, 2014 Share Recently moved to Plett. Anyone know what the routes are like above the crags, see link below. Seems well used and looks like great terrain up there. Any feedback appreciated. http://labs.strava.com/heatmap/#14/23.40800/-33.91057/gray/bike
splat Posted August 14, 2014 Share Moved to Plett?Lucky guy! Harkerville is the first suggestionThere are some trails growing down near Wittedrif Chat to The Bike Shop - Kevin Evans' shop. I am sure they will help you out with routes and help you meet other mtb'ers. http://www.gardenroutetrailpark.com/ has some awesome new trails. Its out Karatara way though, not really in Plett. Check out this link for more options: http://www.cycleworx.co.za/routes/routes.htmOne or two more here: http://www.gardenrouteadventureguide.com/mountain-biking.html
Proccy Posted August 14, 2014 Share Thanks Splat. Yep. Garden route trail park is awesome. Also have ridden a lot of the more well known trails around here, but just trying to explore all the routes in the area. Very beautiful terrain.

Vega Posted January 13, 2015 Share Does anyone know of any MTB routes that can be reached from Robberg beach without having to drive somewhere first?
Ispeed_V Posted January 13, 2015 Share Wittedriff is good and also if you don't mind a bit of a drive, you can always get someone to drop you on the Prince Alfred pass and then cycle back to Plett. We have a holiday house in Keurbooms and makes for a good ride from the pass to Keurbooms. Making our way down there tomorrow. A bit off the topic. There was talk a few years back of them opening up the old Outeniqua Choo Track to MTB'er and turning it into a MTB route which would allow for the ride between Knysna and Vic Bay. Does anyone have any further news on this.

HeyYou Posted January 13, 2015 Share Club100 is the biggest cycling club in Plett, you could email the chair and join the guys on weekend rides, Quite social and some of them live in the Crags area. akuhnert@worldonline.co.za Edit: Just saw the original date, so you've probably done all this by now!
