Need help...Avid Elixir rear brake caliper mount on GT Zaskar 9r

Hi,

 

Need assistance with rear caliper mount on an Avid Elixir 1. Bought a set few weeks a go, but tried to fit it on the weekend and realized that the mountings on the rear caliper and mountings on the frame are different.

 

Mountings on the caliper face downwards, whereas the frame mounts come in from the side.

 

Is there a mounting adaptor tat will fix this, or this just not going to work on this frame.

 

Frame is a 2012 GT Zaskar pro 9r

 

Any help will be appreciated.

IS to PM brake mount adaptor... Check what size rotor you have, ask for a rear IS to PM disk brake adaptor at any shop for your (probably 160mm) rotor... And yes, the front/rear do differ... Traditional mounts are 140 r and 160 f and so on...

Its a 160mm rear disk.

 

Just thought i bought something that cant use! eish
