Bike fitting

Could someone please let me know what the approx pricing is on the BG fit?

 

Assuming it falls into the "not cheap but worth it" category.

IRMA DELPORT @ Cyclefunatics in Durbanville does the Specialized BG fit (Body Geometry).

 

I had 2 bikes to setup - MTB and then ROAD bike

1st setup session is 3 hours (This was done on the MTB)

2nd session was 90 min (AT A LATER DATE) as she already had all the measurements from the first session.

 

I think when I had the setup it cost me R600 for 3 hours - WELL WORTH THE BUCKS !!

+1 for Debbie @ Trail and Tar. I've been to others in the S/burbs and she way better. She listens to you and how you ride as much as just measuring everything. I like my shifters on my road bike dead flat. Always have and she worked with that to get the best position rather than try to impose a ridged set action points.

I've been thinking about going for a fitment, but my concern is:

How many of the BG guys try and upsell you to the Spez stuff during the fitting? or other fitting centre's to their brand stocked? Almost all the guys I know that has gone for fitments have come away significantly poorer (you need a new saddle as this one sags to the left/ right, your stem is 10mm too long/ short)

I understand that it is probably the reason for the fitting, but I really don't want to come away and extra R3000 + poorer.

Shes very nice, goes through your entire cycling career for an hour and then measures you and then fits you

 

No exstra upsells and stuff. Only if you require something she would reccommend something (saddle, stem etc.)

 

She even lent me a stem to test ride and my wife she lent a saddle to test ride with
