mitsu Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Does anybody know about the remnants of the bmx track in Elfindale. At the end of Roscommon Road? There used to be a braai spot there many years ago till it became too dangerous at night. Looks like the track could have been built by the City Council as it's on their land. Although it's overgrown it looks like it was built properly. The track itself can be clearly seen. The surface is hard gravel. This look like it can be a base for a community project as it is close to many suburbs that need these kind of activities for kids( & adults). Maybe somebody is interested in looking into this with me? i won't have the time to do this on my own. PS: Took photo's with my cell, just need to upload them.

PVT_RYAN Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 hi guys, so i took my daughter here the weekend, overgrown and gravelled out, but we had a lekker time. took some shots of the place. it needs work, reallly!!!! and subsequently mailed the ward counciler regarding this track and this is what he had to say Hi Ryan Thank you for taking the time to write to me. This is music to my ears. I am currently in meetings but will begin making some inquiries into the facility and see how that we can breathe new life into this project. Not just a dirt jump now.....BIGGER PICTURE, an Adventure centre, trails, pumptracks, bike park, fishing, canoeing, accomadation.........WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
