I received an email to let me know the event was a seeding event. No fail!Kandui, If you read my previous message again you will notice that I was aware that it was a seeded event for W2W. My problem was that I never read anything regarding a max capacity of X number of riders in any of the emails PPA spams you with on a weekly basis. So yes Fail!!

Hi Donovan, I can assure you the last email I received from PPA on 1 September that I used for my information regarding the Elgin race & also the Backsberg challenge did not mention anything regarding maximum number of entries for the Elgin race. It was mentioned under the Backsberg race that only 900 entries are available. kandui Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 We were hoping for 400 entries, seeing this is a new event. Entries went crazy last week and nobody could have foreseen it. Best is to enter asap, if an event interests you.
kandui Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 If you're riding, make sure you get there early to find parking. Groups will set off in 8 minute intervals to try and avoid bunching at the single tracks.

SCD Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hi Kandui, will the long and shorter routes join at any point of the race? It would be good to know.Last week when coming in at the Backsberg Race at the front of the 42km pack the whole race slowed down to a casual pedal following some beginners and kiddis attempting or pushing through the last few km of single track. It would be nicer if this was avoided.If it has to be though can you tell at what KM the convergence is going to happen?

I will be super cheesed off if they now allow subs.
