skipperw Posted September 21, 2014 Share So I've aggravated a free floating piece of cartlidge in my knee resulting in it catching in my kneecap at the bottom of my pedal stroke. Anyone had a similar injury, and if so, how long does it take for the injury to subside? I'm on hectic anti-inflammatories, and low power, high cadence training. But I can still feel every pedal stroke! Even at 130 watts...
LuckyLuke Posted September 21, 2014 Share Rest, took me 6 months to ride normal again. Do a bike fit if you havent done one yet. Prince Albert Cycles
Skylark Posted September 21, 2014 Share Is it perhaps possibly linked to kneecap/patellar tracking?I have a similar but milder aggravation and it also happens when I straighten the leg. A interim solution is to lower your seatpost so your leg is kept more bent through each pedal stroke.
Muggins Posted September 21, 2014 Share Get an appointment with Dr Johnson at Sunninghill Clinic, orthopedic surgeon. He is good.
