Grovener and bryanston are quite busy, quite a few speed bumps too and quite narrow in places.

Also crossing St james crescent is a bit hairy as cars take chances, I tried that and didn't like it.

Hmm... I might just head to Woodmead Drive then, thanks!

Chopper, Cowley has quite a good gradient and has only one intersection but it's not 10 mins though (it's right next to the start of your Wilton segment). I use Cowley on my return leg from my spruit rides but normally ride on the side path though because it's not that wide. So if you start from the spruit you have a path on the left of Cowley and then after the Peter Place intersection the path is on the right side. A more brutal one would be slightly south of that from the spruit - from Belgrave bridge up Belgrave (which becomes Grosvenor) and up to William Nicol - also one intersection (and one roundabout).

Quite far to travel, but the hard guys from Springs go up the first climb at Suikerbos then at the "T" turn right and come down.  Repeat this circuit as often as required. If memory serves me they work for 7 to 10 circuits.

This would be flat though? Need gradient for resistance.

nope, you can just go faster...  wind resistance is more than adequate to give you your run for your money.  Jens did his hour record on the track last week and he managed a 1 hour interval over 400W
