I can build you a decent set from R4500 up depending on components.  Rims Mavic CXP 33, Velocity Fusion or similar.  Revolution spokes and good hubs (hub prices are the big variant).

If you go for a finished wheelset my advice is keep away from, avoid and do not buy a set with proprietary or patented spokes, nipples or hole drillings.

you can build a wheelset for 4.5k? i'm a heavy guy, and am really interested in a decent but affordable set of wheels. let me know what you can do. :)

I've ridden Citec and the AC Victory wheels you speak of.

I have been riding citec for 1.5 years and had no problems with the wheels. Finished in the main bunch in A. These are a really good option.

The AC wheels are ok. They role nice but thats where it end. It takes time to get them up to speed.

the Victory 30 is an excellent wheel. Don't really need much more than that

I will never buy AM wheels again...I bought a set of Victory 30's brand new and had to tighten the rear wheels cones every two weeks, kept getting play on them. Replaced bearings twice in a years time
