KZN or PE

Hi all

 

I want to drive down to either of these cities from JHB, but along the way want to stop, camp and ride some nice green trails. I'm looking for something like this video:

[Stretch]

if you going pe via kzn then my recommendation is:

 

stop and camp at bushwillow caravan park in karkloof for a few days and from there do the howick 3 (karkloof, Big Wheel and Howick trails)

 

then head down to pmb and do cascades and hilton/grace college) for a few days - less technical but some nice flowey track to be found

 

then head to the south coast via umbumbulu road and stop in at Virginia Trails at Mid-illovo for a day and night

 

Carry on through to the N2 and hit Lake Eland for some nice trails for a day or so

 

then onward on the N2 into Transkei......and thats as far as I know

After Virginia Trails head east towards the N3 and spend a day at Giba as well. Depending on what you have left in the tank after all those other epic trails! You might have to spend a night or two there to cover all their real estate. They have camping facilities there as well and a new restaurant, bike shop, gallery and a nursery so you don't have to leave once you've parked your car.

 

THEN hit the N2 down towards Lake Eland and don't forget Rocky Bay and Clear water trails. If you up for a slight detour, head north to Hola Trails.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!!!

 

It will either be JHB-PE or JHB-DBN..... 

 

I will do some research on what has been suggested so far, and start planning.
