Have told him that if he cops out of the ultra and takes the marathon short cut then he owes me R500. Looking forward to it. Bike serviced, new front deraileur and new chain...i guess I should take it out for a test ride sometime before Saturday!

FlyingScot Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 A Buddy of mine phoned me this morning, telling me how bad the route is. He and Hennie Kriek rode Parts of the route and the Mamba Switchback on Saturday and said its very bad. Previous rains and Storms have left huge rocks and donga's on the mountains. And going down is even more dangerous. They say its going to be a very Tough and Slow winning time this year. And it rained hard on Saturday. Bad news, will take it easy. But still going to be an epic ride - looking very forward to this one!
