What will your choices be for your front chainring and if you are putting in an Extender Granny, what have you chosen to go with. We'll be there testing out a 34t up front with a 11-36 cassette and a 36t upfront with an 11-42.
L46 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 1x10. 30 in front and 40 at the back. Did the pass in December last year, biggest problem was the mist, non-visibility and wet conditions (As a roadie the out of saddle climbing style, hard-ish wheels on a 26" got slippery, especially at the switchback section). Had to revert to my granny on the 3x setup I had back then and dodging cars did not help. It get's pretty steep towards the top, and it's a long climb into high altitude. I'd rather have more gears on the lower side of things. Good luck guys, see you there.

If anyone decides to do it 1x anything make sure you have your climbing gears on and get the hill training in long ahead of time. We had a jol, thanks to the organisers and everyone who made the event

We had a jol, thanks to the organisers and everyone who made the eventi think we fist bumped you on the beginning of day 2..... I ran 1x10 ...32 in front....11-40 rear....the last few switchbacks killed me I couldn't turn the cranks eish....
