Hi Guys

I am importing a Chinese carbon frame and can't tell what type of headset it uses. Attached is the photo, any ideas? The seller says its a tapered 1 1/8  - 1 1/5 conventional headset but I think it might be an integrated type?

Thanks!

Welcome to the hub.

Yes if that is the whole headset then it will be integrated, ie there will be carbon or alloy cups molded in to the frame.

Those bearings are for a tapered 1 1/8  - 1 1/5 fork, so as long as you have a tapered fork you all good.

Why do you need to know?

That is a tapered headset. And either the cups are in the frame or molded like stated above.

Btw. You can use a straight steerer fork in a tapered headtube frame

And yes they will refer to it as a "standard" headset as this is the standard these days. All HS are "integrated". Ie uses cup and bearings.

The conventional HS disappeared years ago.
