Avalanche xxix zero 29er

Can get one from a friend at a good price. Just wanted to know if anybody has this bike and what's your verdict on it. Has deore derrailleur and acera shifters. 27speed. Tektro hydraulic brakes.

Avalanche is an SA brand that is sold by the Giant importers...........they seem to concentrate on entry level, but good value for money bikes. 

 

The specs you mentioned are entry level, but are still capable..........the bike will get you good service

Perhaps look what is in the classifieds and compare similar spec bikes.

 

As Eugene says, Avalanche is very much and entry level bike

You might be able to find a 2nd hand bike with much better spec (e.g. in the classifieds here) at that price....
