Computers do not like to run on a system that cannot produce a linnear sine output. Not good for the electronics.

thanks onetime. I have secondary line interactive sine wave ups' in place for all the computers already.

 

also you'll note i requested an AVR generator - it actually works quite well with electronics.

If it has an avr it should be fine as long as the frequency stays constant....

 

Our office has run only on a generator for the past 3 weeks... no probs... but WOW it is costing us a sh!t load on diesel!!!!

Try talking to Francois at Xtantis in Stellenbosch, not the cheapest, but the service is good and the product is one of the best on the market.

Um, no, the UPS manufactures spend billions on trying to replicate the generators sine wave...
