I think everyone loved the race! Like I said it was my best! It's the 3 hour time limit decided on half way through that's the issue.

I did a part off this route the weekend before and there were a lot off clay on some places , On Sunday when I pitched the weather wasn't good for racing on that route as We train there weekends , I decided 5 min before the start not to ride as I saved a long time for My new bike which I received Thursday ,Lol I don't have moollas to replace XTR components before Christmas , I do understand that the Organiser's applied to move the race to August next Year. No person do have any control on the days weather conditions .Edit : Spelling

i know that you can not control the weather but i finished the race but on the results it shows DNF.. would you not be upset.

I agree 100% , The timing company should have waited for all the riders to come in , I also would have been upset if it happened to Me .

Ag shame. Poor organiser, now he lost his sponsor. (being sarcastic!) Mr / mrs organiser, it rather seems that you lost the sponsor due to your inability to organise, and NOT because there was a complaint. Should've the OP rather kept quiet and you pretend it was a brilliant event? Rather man up, acknowledge the shortcomings, and change accordingly. But to victimize the OP?

I rode and finished, luckily I was within the results. I would have flipped my lid if I finished and got a DNF.

To pull the timing down while riders were still out there is a no go. I did not see anything in the entry that there was a time limit?

if this is the way that this race has ended up then I will not be back next year.

Did not do the race, do not know who Athol is, or the commissaire. But sounds like seriously p#$$ poor planning and BS that the race is canceled while racers are out on the track. From what i have read very few riders got communicating of this cancellation. It was mentioned that marshalls were withdrawn before the race field was cleared. That has to be a breach of some sort of code of conduct. I would have thought the riders safety and security would take precedence. Radio/Cell phone communication with marshalls and a sweep bike/quad to ensure the race field is cleared. Both distances.

Unlucky on the DNF's.

If i am wrong, please feel free to correct me.

I would love to know who has the power or final to cancel the race once it has started. Surely it can only be the commissaire who has the authority to stop a race once started.

are there no rules within CSA as too how or what needs to be done in the event of a stopped or cancelled race once started.

I understand the stoppage for lightening as this is life and death but for rain I don't think so.

We have not heard the other side of the story, but from my understanding you got it pretty much spot on!
