Windbreaker Posted September 15, 2006 Share For those of you riding the Red Hill ride on Sunday. There is a nasty patch of potholes about 200m from the Cape Pt Gate turnoff. If you hit one particular donga on the left of the road you WILL do damage. If the South Easter is howling be VERY careful making the first bend after the gate turnoff. You will be blown across the road - I hope that they have marshals doing traffic control. Then on the straight stretch down smits there is a boulder lying in the gutter and into the road. Finally, there are a couple of small valve inspection covers that are missing just as you enter Simonstown. They hurt rims! Oh ja, I nearly forgot there is also a 5km stretch of pain just after you leave Simonstown!! It's called Red Hill. Have fun & enjoy. pererace70 Posted September 15, 2006 Share Me niether, I love the hills. Hopefully I'll do well and my seeding will get affected (positively). Is the funride only 60km? Or can I do the full 90km, being a non-registerd rider?
