Request for some help

Before I go any further with this, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

If this is the wrong place for this, then modz will you please move to a more appropriate section. I know I haven't been here for to long and that I'm not very active on the forum, but I'm hoping that wont deter anybody who's willing to help.

Now, I finally got sorted with my fork and front derailleur and also sorted my son with a secondhand Schwinn Mesa for Christmas (hence me just wanting to get a cheap derailleur for my bike, no cash left after the Schwinn!) Anyway, I would like to help get my nephew on the road with a bike as well. Funds are a bit limited on my side, so I'm hoping that anybody here could possibly help with some old parts. This rickety old bike is what he currently uses

Yes, that is a 24" at the back and a 26" in front

Front crank also worn out

And this is what I have for him thus far, not much but better than what he currently has.

So if anybody can help then please let me know, we are out in Grassy Park which is in the Mother City. I'll collect anytime.

Kind regards

Cedric

Wish I could help Ballistic. I did a similar build for a guy last year where I used up all my spare parts. Will still go do some box diving and see if I can find anything you can use

Cedric I have a bar and stem you can have.

I'm not too far from you. Just PM me

I also have a helmet if he needs one.

If you get a set of wheels I have a set of 2.1 schwalbe tyres too.

lots of life left in them and I think a tube or 2 filled with sealant

Hello guys, thanx for the help and parts. I have a problem with the from on the mongoose I have for my nephew. The damn seat post is rusted in there, can't turn it at all, so no raising or even lowering the seat post  . No wonder there was a hole drilled through it, previous owner must have tried to twist it somehow.

Hoping for a whole bike?

Naa, this isn't going to work quite like I expected. Guys, thanx for the offers for parts, but will no longer be taking it, it's getting to much. As Porqui said, it's now a whole bike.

Regards

Ceedric
