Hi all, I need some advice.

The seat post on my trek is stuck, I can't loosen it.

Any advice?

Thanks, the q20 I have tried before. Unfortunately no luck there. Will try your advice kkkcycle.

I used (Tool in a can ) - Multi purpose lubricant, left it overnight, got two guys from the gym to hold down frame and slowly twisted the seat post round and round until it worked loose, this is a common problem on carbon frames with alu seat posts. i understand there is special grease to be used for this situation.

Hope this helps you!

Whatever you do if you value the frame be patient, not a job you want to rush or loss your cool with. If you try the seat in a vice method perhaps remove the seat first and just clamp the seatpost in the vice or put on a throwaway seat to clamp because the seat may get a bit ripped up.

A nice big pipe wrench on the seatpost will probably also work as a good means to get some leverage. I'd start by leaving repeated applications of Q20 over a few days to soak in and then try the vice or wrench.
