My cousin past away recently and this is his bike that my aunt now would like to sell to start a education fund for my other cousins baby girl. He lived is the UK for the last 10yr before returning and brought the bike from there. If it was a MTB I wouldn't have a problem but I really don't know much about road bikes and would greatly appreciate your help. Eugene Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 The spec does not sound original. I guess he built the bike himself. The frame is a 2014 model so would carry some value. The Tarmac Sport with Shimano 105 retails for R25000 new, so second hand with Tiagra and the Scirroco, I would guess R15 000.
Cat2forLife Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Like Eugene said, expensive frame, but not so expensive parts. Secondhand I don't think a Tiagra bike would be worth R15 000, but give it a try. You never know, you might get it.

I want to upgrade my frame so am in the market for a frame only. I thought of buying a new bike but according to my calculations it will be more cost effective to upgrade what I need. (your has external cable routing) I suggest you ask a bit more than R15k and see what happens. enjoi Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 Thanks for all the feedback! "Roadies" ???? I doubt he built up the bike as he wasn't that kind of a guy.. But I could be wrong. He bought it in the UK so their spec might be different.. I fully understand from this that the groupset isn't as top spec as would be expected from the frame. I showed some pics to the specialized dealer here and he said that Specialized definitly didn't bring in this colour frame. I'm going to put it in the classifieds and she what happens. Theres a bunch of kit and a travel bag to. Cheers for the help! You lot aren't that bad hay ????????
