Hmm, wonder if that might be part of my problem. Had a 2x Double Chivas 12 year last night.... Might have touched my legs a bit.

Ha ha - I was joking.

Seriously, that's 4 units of alcohol.  Alcohol metabolises at approx. 1 unit per hour, so if you had 3 units in your bloodstream at bedtime, you may have also suffered the loss of 3 hours of "good" sleep.

As I understand it, your body won't go into "deep" sleep or rest properly while it's processing the alcohol.

in other words, you may also have been TIRED.

Well, darn me.  Did not know that.

Had about a double shot left just before bedtime. Could not pour it back into the bottle.  So had to drain the glass as I see it as a giant waste of good Whiskey.
