WATCH: A 64-year-old woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly setting traps on several mountain-biking trails on the North Shore. The dangers first began appearing in August and could have caused serious injury. That’s when two bikers decided to set a trap of their own. John Daly explains.

VANCOUVER – Two mountain bikers, who use the North Vancouver trails regularly, took it upon themselves last December to purchase, install and monitor security cameras in the hopes of catching someone who was intentionally setting up barricades on the trails.
Between Aug. 1 and Dec. 29, 2014, the bikers noticed obstructions on the trails, which at times, were dangerous for them and other bikers.

A 64-year-old woman has now been criminally charged for allegedly setting up logs and rocks on the biking trails, with the intention to obstruct mountain bikers. She was caught numerous times on the hidden cameras, appearing to intentionally lay logs, branches and rocks on the Quarry and Lower Skull trails.

North Vancouver RCMP arrested the woman on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 5 a.m. at the head of the Quarry Trail, located just off the 1200-block of Dempsey Road.

She has been released with conditions to not attend or go near any of the biking trails tampered with. Police are requesting criminal charges for setting a trap and mischief to property.

These are serious charges – these are public trails and one should not interfere with the lawful enjoyment of the trails and set up traps or obstacles to potentially endanger the lives of people using them, said Cpl. Richard De Jong, spokesperson for the North Vancouver RCMP.

Fortunately no one was seriously hurt or injured in these incidents and the accused, who has not yet been named, is set to appear in court on Feb. 4. She does live in North Vancouver and uses the same trails to walk her dog.

The cameras have since been taken down.http://globalnews.ca/news/1760124/woman-caught-laying-logs-rocks-on-north-vancouver-biking-trails/

We couldn't do that here, besides the police not being interested, the camera's would have been in a Cash Crusaders within an hour of being put in place.

Seems like that was her hobby! Watch the clip, how does a 64 year old woman saw through those bridges?

Those bridges were from another incident of vandalism else where in Canada
