Reverb Dropper Post, can post extension height be adjusted?

Have just fitted a Reverb to my 29'er, but my problem is this:

According to my ErgoFit stats my seat height must be 72cm. With the Reverb fitted and fully extended (normal riding height), the lowest I can get it is 73cm, with the "collar" resting on my seat tube.

Is there a way to "adjust" the height that the seatpost extends when at it's fullest. In other words, can I dial out the one cm height adjustment that I do not need?

I tried searching the web, but no luck.

I have serviced one of these, and from what I can make of the internals I don't believe you would be able to.

Which drop is it? 100 or 125?

The only other idea, harsh as it may be and if possible, is to cut back your seat tube by 10mm...

Edit: also assuming then that the post would be able to slide into the seat tube unrestricted by another 10mm

Just thinking.. The inner tube is filled with a certain amount of hydraulic fluid, not sure if the exact amount has anything to do with the fully extended height, so maybe less fluid equals less height. But that is a bit past my knowledge.

If you did buy the 125mm drop you might need to swop it for the 100mm, assuming you can..

Have done a bit of googling and can't seem to find if it is possible to adjust the height of the extension. Might not be impossible, might just not be common enough to google easily.

Did you recently buy it, can't you return for the 100mm drop instead?

Was a gift / donation I received towards the build of my 29'er.

Don't really want to return it.

Also did a bit of googling and youtubing, with the same result as yours.

Best of all, the post originaly did not return all the way to the top after being dropped (about a cm), and I had it bled and now it does extend fully each and every time.

This was before I found out I actually needed that cm. Wonder if the process can be reversed.  :whistling:

Aaah...

Like I said, there is a precise amount of hydraulic fluid that gets added to the inner tube, this might have something to do with the return height, so adding less might give you that 1cm you need,  but I don't know enough to be certain if that would work.. Maybe chat to a technician at the agents..??

Otherwise it seems you might need to cut the seat tube...

There is enough "meat" on my seat tube to cut the 1cm needed. Might be less of a hassle than trying to tune the post with adding / removing fluid.

Will keep you informed of outcome.

Good luck bro. I know from taking apart my lev that there is a piston that you should be able to put a spacer on to limit it's full travel (150 to 150 minus whatever the spacer is) so maybe that can extend to the reverb. If you take it apart and put a spacer in yourself that is.

Droo should be able to tell you if it should be possible to machine a spacer. I know he's taken a few of them apart.
