Sunburn!

No need to put sunblock on your forehead or around your eyes if you wear a helmet with visor and decent sunglasses. I put it on my ears, nose and the rest of my face below the eyes. No eye irritation....

This is really terrible and irresponsible advice. You will still burn with a visor and glasses, up to 10% of skin cancers occur on or around the eyelid. Even the wraparound sunglasses don't protect you adequately. You should go for a UV filtered photograph and you'll see all the deep tissue damage this practice has caused you.

I imagine there's a shelf life on them though. Surely after a number of washes their efficacy diminishes.

Also tell me if you find them uncomfortably hot especially in the heat we having.

Did a long ride with the protectors on Sunday and they seem to be quite effective. They're a tad warm, but it's not unbearable. Didn't even notice them after a while. A hell of a lot better than roasting my arms.

I'm happy with the little tube of 50spf Piz Buin which I use for my ears and face. The rest I just use Piz Buin 15. I will admit I'm starting to develop a bit of a 2 tone thing, but it gets better in winter...
