Over December I discovered a fault on my carbon Momsen frame, took it in to the lbs and they werent sure whether it would be a warranty claim or not. Anyway the next day they phoned me and said I should come and fill in the Warranty claim forms and they would send them through to Momsen.

 

So on the 24th December 2014 I went and filled in the forms, not expecting to hear anything till well into the New Year.

On 5th January 2015 i got an email from TWT stating that the claim was approved and giving me a choice of replacement frames. After replying which frame I wanted, the next day I received another email stating the frame had been couriered and should be at the lbs in 2 days.

 

I have now rebuilt the bike and will be taking it out this weekend.

Good service. But this story reaffirms why I'll never buy a Momsen. Cracks should be listed on all of their bikes' spec sheets.

It wasnt a crack that was the problem, it was a problem with the rear dropout.
