I could not see this on RAI on the new DSTV bouquets - did anybody record it by any chance?

Certainly the man in form now.

I was really surprised, I would never have considered him for the win, I always thought Petacchi was the man for the win, but the windy road running up to the sprint was not conductive to his train and he couldnt get it going, and none of the other recognised sprinters got the break.

Barloworld didnt impress me much, just drifted along in the peleton, Gasparotto caught the break but got washed away.

Man with no name.

Go have a look at the post Christie made on another MSR-08 thread.....

There is a link to the final 2km sprint / attack and drop everyone for dead.

Cool, thanks man! Will definately have a look!

Widget, I don't think anyone will discount Cancellara now after this win and his stage win in the TDF last year (both in similar fashion). This man has AWESOME power over 1500-2000 meters!

I was expecting something from Pozzato (who still made podium), but its seems Cancellara was just way too strong. To ride away from Pozzato and Gilbert in their current form takes something special

Yup, I would never have considered Cancellara for a win either, I looked at the route and thought Naaaaaa, too many hills - ha just shows hey, although I saw Stegemans dropping off the back like a bubble, did he finish, looked shattered when I saw him?

Anyway, great ride by Cancellera, all the others were still looking around to see who was going to chase and when they looked again the gap was 300metres and opening, nobody was going to catch him then.
