Mike001 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I am looking at buying a Raleigh RC8000 road bike for R 6500.00. Is this bike a decent buy or must I look for something else second hand in this price range ?
Lurch the stalker Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I guess it depends on the components on the bike.I have the RC7000 and am happy with it.Mine is part carbon and has full Shimabo Ultegra (except the rear dérailleur which is 105 after I snapped the original one in December)

Eugene Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 The RC8000 came out with full Dura Ace (top of range). There were two different models in 2005 and 2006. R6 500 is a good price if it has the original spec. They brought another model in 2009 that was full carbon with Sram Force. Depending on the condition, R6 500 is an absolute steal. Either way, the price seems to be good. Post a photo or link to the advert and we can offer better advice.
