Dealing with scratches

I've been amassing a bunch of scratches on my carbon fiber road bike (treating it as if its as indestructible as my mountain bike).

Its nothing serious just very annoying to look at, its just the surface of the clear coat that has been affected.

Is there a remedy to get ride of those, like some kind of buffing compound?

if the "scratches" are not deep & are not actual cracks, you can sand it off using a piece of sand-paper (but it must be a very fine grit, P1000 or upwards if I'm not mistaken)

finished the sanded-surface with some wax (vehicle-body wax will do) & you'll not notice it was there in the first place.

The bad ones far enough into clear coat for my finger nail to hook into it so I wouldn't call them fine scratches, on other places it just looks like it traded some paint with the surface it scratched against. Most of it happened as result of propping it against rough surfaces

Frames nowadays scratch to easily. I often wonder why manufacturers don't coat the frames with a little more paint / clear coat. I will live with the extra few grams of weight.

The 1000 grit Waterpaper plus polish afterwards is the answer, won't totally remove the scratch per say but will make it invisible. Nail varnish stands out/proud of the surrounding paint work and can look quite obvious in some instances but maybe a very light coat of nail varnish on the scratch then water paper and polish but I'd think that's taking it a bit far though.
