What about adding a user rating to the events. So if 10 people give their rating for an event you take the average and mark it next to the event on the list with the about of people that gave feedback (For eg: TriRock Cradle Rating 6.8 Voters 13). That way people who are interested in an event can have first hand experience from fellow hubbers and might make it a much easier decision.

Good plan. I can use an excel sheet to upload to this thread and update it as info comes in. I'll get cracking

Ok, so I did an excel but for some reason it says that I can not upload .xls or .xlsx files.

So if you want to you can post the following here and I can update the excel file. I will then update the overall rating on the first post:

  • Event Name
  • Date of race
  • Distance rated
  • Organisation
  • Swim quality
  • Bike Route
  • Run Route
  • Value for money

The excel will then calculate the overall rating based on an even value for all rating. Rating 1 to 10 (1 = siesman, 10 = mindblown). This is then the score I will post.

What do you guys think? Or should we just wait till after ironman (nudge nudge
Dean Lance Tyler)?

Great stuff, i still think there should be a field for the amount of votesr/feedback givers. my reasoning behind this is that if only one person has reviewed the event the score might be very high or low depending on the day the person had. whereas if i can see that 13 people have rated a race then i will be pretty satisfied with the rating of that particular event and make my decision swiftly.
